Dr. Colleen Quee Newell has worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant since 1993. She holds a PhD degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. She also completed a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology (UBC) and has a Bachelor of Physical Education degree (UBC).

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Dr. Quee Newell provides clinical counselling to clients dealing with the psychological consequences of illness and injury.

Dr. Quee Newell is well-respected as a balanced Vocational Rehabilitation expert who provides comprehensive medical-legal opinions for both Plaintiff and Defence counsel. Her approach is thorough, detailed and fair. She is highly experienced in the assessment and analysis of complex, high-risk files. She is well-versed in the assessment of clients presenting with a broad range of physical, cognitive, and psychiatric disabilities as well as clients from diverse cultures and backgrounds. She was first accepted as an expert in Vocational Rehabilitation by the Supreme Court of British Columbia in 1994 and has testified on many occasions since then.

Dr. Quee Newell is an experienced educator, accruing more than a decade of university teaching experience developing and delivering career counselling theory curriculum.

Outside of work, Colleen enjoys spending time with her family. She is a dedicated year-round bicycle commuter and has a lifelong passion for sport, fitness and nutrition. Colleen is an avid reader and CBC Radio listener.
