Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant and Clinical Counsellor

Crystal Wong holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology with a specialization in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of British Columbia, where she graduated at the top of her class. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Psychology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Crystal joined Vocational Pacific in 2019. She provides vocational assessments, vocational rehabilitation counselling, career counselling, and labour market research. As a Vocational Rehabilitation expert, her approach is balanced, thorough, and fair. She provides medical-legal opinions for both Plaintiff and Defense counsel, and has experience conducting assessments for diverse clients with a broad range of disabilities and individual factors.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Crystal provides psychological counselling and return-to-work support to clients coping with injuries and illnesses, including chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, amputations, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and psychiatric conditions. Crystal has experience supporting clients with workplace injuries both as an external clinician and a WorkSafeBC Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant. Prior to her work as a clinical counsellor, Crystal worked in human resources, recruitment, and co-operative education.

Having spent nearly a decade in Ontario, Crystal can definitively say she prefers the Vancouver rain over freezing temperatures and snow. She enjoys her rainy days outdoors with her family and their mischievous canine.
